Judi started dancing in 1993 with her husband, John, as an activity to share together. They had hit the Bar-mitzvah scene and looked on enviously at a select few at those functions who knew the correct steps. Time to learn! As the most recently trained teacher, Judi has been teaching since 1999.

Rosie has had many years of experience and various roles on the committee including past president for several years, vice president and secretary and has a very optimistic and democratic belief and approach for the well being of the club. She always welcomes and appreciates what members can contribute to ensure a viable, solid organization.

Denise has been an avid fan of Nirkoda since 2003. Since she discovered that dancing allowed her the freedom to be a complete fool with other like minded people, she has taken to it with gusto! Dancing has made her fit, and even lowered her cholesterol! She loves the diverse people in the club and their acceptance of all members, without any cliquiness. As for being on the committee, she has much experience from school parents association, and charity groups, and is looking forward to inflicting some of her wild ideas on the group.

Helen Rawicki - Treasurer

Helen began Beginner classes at Nirkoda in 2004 and was instantly hooked. She quickly built up her dancing days to three per week and had her first position on the Nirkoda committee as Secretary in 2005-06. Helen regularly attended Israeli folk dancing in Paris during 2006-07 and also attended the Carmiel festival in Israel in 2007. Helen brings her knowledge and skills in administration to the Nirkoda committee.

Hillary started new beginner partner dancing in March 2004 with Ilana and Rosie as her teachers, and immediately ventured into the beginner circle dancing. She got the Israeli Dancing bug into her system and now attends four dance sessions a week. Hillary is a dedicated committee member.

Diana Cherny - General Committee

Diana joined the beginner's class at Nirkoda in 2005 after having a long break from Israeli dancing in her younger years. She loves Nirkoda's friendly atmosphere and in particular how everyone is made to feel special notwithstanding their level of dancing skills. Diana has managed to learn some more steps with the help of Nirkoda's wonderful teachers and now enjoys dancing in the Lower Intermediate and Intermediate classes as well.
